COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— After strong efforts at their season-opening meets last weekend, the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks swept the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards, the conference announced on Thursday.

Jax Juarros was named as the RMAC Men's Diver of the Week for the fourth time in his career while senior
Kenya Meyer claimed the women's award for the third time in her career. Newcomer
Guillaume Guth received the Men's Swimmer of the Week honor while
Olivia Hansson claimed the women's honor for the second time in her career.
Juarros, took second place in both diving competitions during last Friday and Saturday's Intermountain Shootout meets, scored separately, which were against BYU and RMAC rival Adams State. He recorded a NCAA qualifying score of 308.85 points in Friday's 3-meter meet, which was contested in a 6-dive format. He then scored 425.85 points in an 11-dive, 1-meter event on Saturday.
Meyer, the reigning RMAC Diver of the Year from 2024-25, won the 3-meter event on Saturday, scoring 440.25 points on 11 dives to eclipse the NCAA qualifying standard of 420 points by more than 20. She also won the event by 23.25 points over teammate
Jenna Hurley and defeated four different divers from the NCAA Division I BYU Cougar program. Meyer also took second in Friday's 6-dive, 1-meter event with 242.70 points.
Guth, a 2024 Paris Olympian, Guth, for his native France, competed in his first collegiate meets, recording NCAA Division II-leading times in both the 50 (20.08) and 100 Freestyle (43.20) as well as a No. 3 ranking time in the 200 Free (1:37.22).
He also helped the Mavs post the fastest Division II time of the season thus far in three different relays (200 Free, 400 Free, 400 Medley) as well as the No. 3 ranking time in the 200 Medley Relay. Guth leads the RMAC in all seven events and set NCAA Championship "B" cut times in each of his three individual disciplines.
Hansson was even better, setting national-leading and NCAA "B" cut times in four different events while claiming three wins in the weekend meets.
On Friday, she won both the 200 Free (1:48.53) and 1000 Free (9:57.07), winning the latter by more than seven seconds with a time that is just 2.26 seconds off her own school record and 12.43 ahead of teammate
Maya Clise for the top spot on the NCAA list.
In Saturday's meet, Hansson won the 500 Free (4:49.95) by nearly five seconds over BYU's top swimmer with a time that leads the country by 12.14 seconds. She also took second in the 400 IM and leads Division II by nearly seven seconds over teammate
Haven Hinkle in that event with an altitude-adjusted time of 4:26.94.
The Mavericks will next compete on Oct. 24 and 25 with the women taking on Division I Colorado State and Denver in Fort Colins on Friday, Oct. 24 while the Maverick men will contest an RMAC dual at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden on Saturday, Oct. 25.
