COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their Preseason coaches' poll and Preseason All-RMAC Teams on Thursday (Oct. 23) afternoon.
Colorado Mesa was picked to repeat as RMAC Champions for the third straight season as they received nine of the possible 15 first-place votes and a total of 191 points. The Mavericks went 25-6 a season ago including an 18-2 mark in the conference for their second straight conference title.
The RMAC Tournament Champion UCCS Mountain Lions picked up the remaining six first-place votes and came out of the poll with 181 points followed by Adams State with 159 points, Western Colorado with 150 points, Colorado School of Mines with 141 points and Black Hills State with 127 points to round out the top-six teams in the poll.
Two-time RMAC Player of the Year
Olivia Reed Thyne was named to the Preseason All-RMAC Team ahead of the start of the season. The Windsor, Colo. native earned her second straight WBCA All-American honor last season after averaging 22.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game as a junior and toppled the single-game scoring record by scoring 45 points against nationally ranked Pittsburg State.
Reed Thyne was also named the Academic Player of the Year and a First Team CSC Academic All-American last season.

Colorado Mesa will open the season on Friday October 31 at 12pm against perennial power Western Washington in Langley, B.C as part of the D2CCA Canadian Tip-Off Classic.
