COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Sophomore Devyn Rodriguez advanced to the semifinals of the "A" singles draw while Audrey O'Rear and Kayla Huish did the same in the "C" draw to lead the Colorado Mesa University women's tennis team in Saturday's portion of the Colorado College Invitational here at Memorial Park.
 
Huish and fellow freshman Taylor Nokes also went 2-0 to win the "C" doubles draw.
 
Rodriguez won 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) over Avery Hickman in the round of 16 and then received a walkover win over teammate Makenna Livingston in the quarterfinals after Livingston had won her first match by a 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-3) margin over MSU Denver's Kamba Roles in the opening round.
 
Delia Maier also recorded a opening round win but was defeated in the quarterfinals of the "A" draw.
 
All three of the Mavs' "C" draw players on their round of 16 matches while Huish and Nokes were also able to win their quarterfinal match-ups.
 
Both of the Mavs' "A" doubles duos lost their first matches but won consolation affairs.  Catalina Ballon Marin and Audrey O'Rear lost their "B" doubles semifinal but were able to win the consolation bracket.
 
Action will resume at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning.
