Wieczorek Repeats As RMAC Goalie of the Week

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Mavs goalie Keely Wieczorek is officially taking the RMAC by storm.

The true freshman has conceded just one goal in the first three games of her career, leading Colorado Mesa to a 3-0 start. After playing a part in two wins this past week, Wieczorek has been honored with her second straight RMAC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week award, winning every single weekly honor she has been eligible for in her college career.

Wieczorek made three highlight-reel saves in a 2-1 win over Cal State San Bernardino, keeping the game close to set the stage for CMU's two-goal comeback in the match's final five minutes. Wieczorek also started the 7-0 shutout against Newman, which was the program's largest margin of victory in a Division II nonconference game since 1998.

Just two games into her collegiate career, Wieczorek already has made program history, becoming the first CMU goalkeeper ever to win multiple RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week awards in the same season. With two, she is now tied with teammate Chloe Dody for the program's most career RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week awards since the RMAC began awarding separate Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week awards in 2014.

Wieczorek's two awards are the fifth and sixth RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week awards in CMU program history. Previous winners include Emily Signorio (2017), Kamrie Gunderson (2019) and Chloe Dody (2021 and 2022). It also marks the first weekly award win of the season for Colorado Mesa soccer, which won four of the 27 conference honors awarded last season (Lila Dere and Chloe Dody on September 6, Ally Wachtel on October 11 and Dere again on October 27).

Regis's Natalie Bunch was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Colorado School of Mines's Natalie Rouse took home Defensive Player of the Week.
