LOUISVILLE, Ky.— Colorado Mesa University right fielder
Rylee Crouch was named to the 2023 Tucci/NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist, it was announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Thursday.
The sophomore out of Broomfield, Colorado, currently leads all of Division II softball with 19 home runs, 52 RBIs and a 1.108 slugging percentage.
The NFCA's watchlist was selected by the association's Division II All-America Committee.
New in 2023, the list is broken down into the eight NCAA Regions (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West) with up to 15 student-athletes represented in each region.
Crouch, who has homered in each of the last four games, was one of three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference players on the South Central Regional list, which includes the 15 players listed below.
The Mavericks (20-11, 18-5 RMAC) will host a key series this weekend against MSU Denver, the team right above them in the RMAC standings. Doubleheaders at the CMU Softball Stadium are slated for Noon on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
