CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Colorado Mesa's
Kash Anderson dropped his only match of the day as he fell to Logan Kvien of McKendree 4-3 in the consolation quarterfinals on Saturday (Mar. 11) at the NCAA National Championship tournament at PowerHouse Arena.
The two wrestlers grappled to a 0-0 in the first period with Anderson choosing down to start the second. The Bearcat was able to turn Anderson for a two-count and a two-point nearfall which wound up being the difference in the match.
Anderson was able to get an escape, a penalty point from stalling and a second escape for his three points in the bout.
Northern State's Cole Huss medically forfeited all his matches on the day which gave Anderson seventh place at 197 pounds.
Colorado Mesa will finish with 12 points in the tournament and will finish in 27
th place in the team standings.
