CANYON, Texas— The Colorado Mesa University softball team's schedule for this weekend's West Texas Invitational at West Texas A&M University's Schaeffer Park has been altered.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Texas A&M-Kingsville is not participating in the tournament.  The Mavs were scheduled to face the Javelinas, ranked sixth in the national preseason poll, twice throughout the weekend.

The new schedule, which can be seen its entirety on the tournament website, now has the Mavs playing a single game against the hosts on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CST (12:30 p.m. Mountain).

The Mavs will then play Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M on Saturday.  CMU will not play on Sunday.
