LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 3 Colorado Mesa women's wrestling competed in the first day of the NWCA National Duals on Friday (Jan. 6) morning at the Kentucky Convention Center. The Mavericks came up short in both matches against the No. 2 and No. 4 ranked teams in the country. The losses end the 20-match dual win streak the Mavericks had heading into the day.
#2 North Central 38, #3 Colorado Mesa 6
The Mavericks ran into a buzzsaw in the North Central Cardinals on Saturday morning as they fell in nine of the 10 matches in a 38-6 loss in the NWCA National Duals semifinal matchup.
Colorado Mesa's lone win came in the 136-pound bout when fourth-ranked
Holly Beaudoin scored a pin of Salome Walker in 1:18.
