GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – After winning their second straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament title, the Colorado Mesa men's basketball secured the No. 1 seed in West Region.
The team will make their way over to Golden, Colo. this weekend as Colorado School of Mines, who earned the No. 2 seed plays host to the six-team bracket.
As the top-seed, the Mavericks will receive a first-round bye, and await the winner of No. 4 seed Point Loma (8-2) and No. 5 seed Northwest Nazarene (11-4)
The Maverick men won their first regular season title in 11-years, going 18-1 in conference play and earned hosting rights to the RMAC Tournament last weekend. In an overtime thriller, they outlasted the No. 2 seed Colorado School of Mines, 75-74, to claim back-to-back titles. Head Coach
