GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.— Due to weather forecasts throughout the state, Colorado Mesa University has made schedule changes in three sports.

The Maverick women's lacrosse team, ranked 25th nationally, will now play at No. 12 Regis University in a non-conference game on Thursday at 3 p.m. in Denver.  The Mavericks will then play at Colorado College in Colorado Springs at 1 p.m. on Friday.  Those games, their first of the Mavs' season, were originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Due to COVID-19 related protocols at those institutions, fans are not permitted to attend either.  A live stream and live statistics for the game against Regis can be accessed at the links above.  A live stream link for the game against Colorado College can also be found above.

The Maverick women's  tennis team has also made a minor schedule change.  They will now play Dominican University of California in a neutral-site match at 10 a.m. (UPDATE) on Friday.  This match will played at the Randy Ross Tennis Center in Englewood (7760 South Wheeling Court).  It had been set for 3:30 p.m. at MSU Denver's Regency Athletic Complex.  Up to 50 spectators, who must wear masks, will be permitted to view the dual in the clubhouse.

Additionally, on Thursday morning the Mavericks made a softball schedule change.  This weekend's series at Fort Lewis College in Durango has now been moved back a day to Sunday and Monday.  The nation's 22nd-ranked and undefeated Mavericks (8-0, 8-0 RMAC) will tangle with the Skyhawks (4-8, 4-4 RMAC) in doubleheaders, beginning at noon on Sunday (Mar. 14) and 11 a.m. on Monday (Mar. 15).
