Lila Dere came away with the assist on the goal in the 74
th minute, as FLC outshot the Mavericks by two in both total shots and shots on goal.
Chloe Dody collected five saves to give the team it's fourth straight win.
The Mavs fifth consecutive win was secured by a 3-0 shutout of Western Colorado.
Dere continued to add to her season total, with a brace putting her up to 13 for the season. She would score in the 10
th and 20
th minutes, giving her a 2-0 cushion early.
Adessa Correa put in the team's third, and her second of the fall campaign in the 74

Force at Forward
After an impressive six goal performance over the weekend, Colorado Mesa's
Lila Dere claimed Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week last week.
The Grand Junction local etched her name in the program record books after putting together four-goals in the 4-1 defeat of Regis. Earlier in the weekend, her brace led the way for the Mavericks to take down Colorado School of Mines for the first time since 2007. She tallied six goals on the weekend, and brings her season total to 13 – taking over the conference leaderboard.
With barely a full season under her belt, she is the first Maverick to reach double-figures in goals in a season since Daniela Ramirez in the 2009 campaign. Her now 20 career goals put her 5
th in the record books.
Her five game-winners is the third best mark in the country, and she ranks fourth in the country with an average of 1.18 goals per game. Her total points (30), points per game (2.73), and total goals (13) fall within the top-10 of their respective categories.
Double the Shots, Double the Scoring
The Mavs have combined for 194 shots, leading the conference with an average of 17.64 per game. 91 of those shots have landed between the pipes, which boast the top-spot in the league with an average of 8.91 SOG per game.
At an average of 2.45 goals per game, CMU has the third highest scoring offense and are outscoring opponents by a 1.00 margin.
Just one of the Mavericks wins have not been decided by multiple goals, putting together 27 on the season to their opponents 11.
Giving Credit, Where Credit is Due
It has been a true team effort on the pitch, while the Mavericks have seen a lot of success on the offense, the defense has put in work to keep opponents from getting in scoring position.
The defensive unit has kept opponents to under double-digit shots thus far and just 44 fired between the goal frame.
2-way center midfielder
Mira Houck has posed problems on both offense and defense this season, starting all 11-games thus far and logging 963 minutes. She scored her first goal in a
Maverick uniform in the conference opener against Black Hills State, and assisted on a goal in the 3-2 upset of UCCS.
Despite missing one contest,
Michaela Dangler does not skip a beat anchoring the back line. She has gone the distance in all 10 contests played, even getting up field to score and provide help.
Carli Dare holds down the outside wing, also providing help in the Mavs attacking third with a pair of assists to her credit.
Scouting the Cougars
After a series of conference wins, the Colorado Christian Cougars hit a couple of snags last weekend, falling to Mines and Regis. With 11 goals on the season, Capri Dewing is responsible for five of them.
Ireland Van Dyke started both contests last weekend, now with 34 saves and a 2-3-1 record.
Series History
In a series dating back to the 90's, the Mavs have 26 wins over the Cougars, nine matches going the way of CCU.
The two did not cross paths during the abbreviated COVID spring season, making the last meeting back in 2019. Ryanne Parker came away with the golden goal in that contest, scoring in the double-overtime period.
Scouting the Roadrunners
At 7-4-1 overall, the MSU Denver Roadrunners are 4-4 in the RMAC loop and riding a two-game win streak. After falling behind in tough conference matches, they got back into the winner's column with significant wins over New Mexico Highlands and Adams State.
The team now has 27 goals on the season, 11 of which were from the following weekend's dominant performance. Kailey Maness lead the team with four goals and two assists, putting through two goals in last weekend's scoring spree.
Regan Ostler claimed Defensive Player of the Week honors this past week, after contributing a goal and an assist for her team. Just behind Ostler is Kayla Caballero who has spent the most time in goal, recording three shutouts and 27 saves.
Series History
MSU Denver holds the edge in the series history with 27 wins to the Mavs 16. When the teams crossed paths in the spring,

th minute to give CMU their first win since 2018, and first home win over MSU since 2017.
RMAC Preseason Poll
This season the Mavericks came in at No. 7 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Poll, moving up a spot from last season's poll, collecting 85 votes. Head Coach
Megan Remec returns for the Fall season after leading the team to 5-4-1 record last season and a berth in the RMAC Tournament.
Colorado School of Mines garnered seven first-place votes to take home the top-spot, followed by UCCS and CSU Pueblo who each received three first-place votes.
