DENVER— Colorado Mesa University's historic NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Tournament debut on Friday will now be played at MSU Denver's Regency Athletic Complex, it was announced by officials from Midwest Regional host Regis University on Thursday.
 
The Mavs' game against No. 8 and second-seeded Lindenwood will still begin at 3 p.m. but will now be played on the artificial turf surface due to poor field conditions at Regis' Match Pitch caused by recent weather.
 
Should the Mavericks, ranked 17
th national and seeded third in the region, win Friday's contest they would advance to Sunday Midwest Region Championship, which will be played at Noon at Regis.  The other first round game will feature the top-seeded and No. 2 host Rangers and fourth-seeded and 12
th ranked UIndy and will be played at 11 a.m.
