Maike Waldburger each won 3-set singles matches for the Colorado Mesa University Women's Tennis team, which fell 5-2 to NCAA Division I University of Northern Colorado on Thursday indoors here at Work Out West.
Kirby won her No. 1 singles matches over Anna Battersby 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 while Waldburger won her No. 6 match, taking a 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 over the Bears' Synclair Larson.
However, the Bears won the other four singles matches and both of the finished doubles matches while improving to 7-14 on the year. CMU fell to 5-14 heading into their final two away from home matches of the season on Friday against Tarleton State and Colorado College.
