Mavericks Struggle Against Regis University

Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Colorado Mesa falls to a 1-4-0 RMAC record after being defeated by Regis 0-2. This is the fourth consecutive game the Mavericks have been shut out.

The Rangers of Regis University came out on top Friday evening after defeating the Mavs 2-0. Emily Signorio was awarded the start for the Mavericks as goalkeeper. During this game she recorded four saves.

The Mavericks took 19 total shots but none would result in a goal. Eight of those would be shots on goal. The Rangers netted two goals behind six shots on goal and 18 shot attempts.

Carly Bych and Tori Rinsem each found the net Friday night against the Mavericks.

Ryanne Parker took five shots for a team high and was followed by fellow Mav Leily Ghods who took four. Ghods recorded her first start of the 2018 season on Friday night and took a season high four shots and one shot on goal. The senior also recorded 72 minute of action for a season high as well.

Next Up

The Mavericks will remain at Walker Field on Sunday afternoon as they take on Black Hills State at 1pm. The Yellow Jackets enter the match with a 0-5 RMAC record.
