Box Score SAN ANGELO, TEXAS- The Colorado Mesa University Women's soccer team beat Angelo State University 2-1 in overtime. The Mavericks end the weekend 2-0, giving them a perfect start to the 2018 season.
The Mavericks had to overcome a rain delay and an overtime period to get the win against a tough Angelo State University. It only took six minutes of overtime before
Alexis Allard decided to take control and end the game.

Kamrie Gunderson got her first start as goal keeper for the 2018 season and recorded ten saves in a full 96:48 minutes played.
The Maverick's took five shots compared to ASU's 13 shots however both teams were scoreless going into the second half. The shot totals were almost reversed during the second half, when CMU took 11 and ASU took 5.
ASU's Chloe Souza put the Belles up one by sneaking in a goal in the 70
th minute.
Seven minutes later
Zoe Peterson found the net putting one past ASU's goal keeper Kira Miller.
The Mavericks took five more shots after this goal to attempt to win the game in regulation but none were successful and the Mavs found themselves going into overtime for the first time this season.
Now entering overtime the Mavs and Belles are tied 1-1.
In overtime the Mavericks outshot the Belles 3-2.
Hannah Naftanel attempted a shot in the 93
rd minute and
Zoe Peterson attempted a shot in the 94
th minutes. Two short minutes later Alllard took matters into her own hand and found the net in the 96
th minute. It only took six minutes of overtime to decide the outcome of this game. This was back-to back games that Allard recorded a goal, she now has 11 goals on her career.
The Mavericks recorded their first overtime time win of the 2018 season.
