Women's Tennis Earns 7-2 win over CC

Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's tennis won their second straight match on Thursday (Apr. 5) afternoon defeating Colorado College 7-2 at Burghart Tennis Courts.
 
The Mavericks took the lead after the three doubles matches, winning two of the three matches. Emily Beckley and Rebecca Osterberg moved up to play No. 1 doubles and secured a 9-7 win over Allie Burak and Jenna McDonald.
 
Nicole Kitsuse and Georgia Hansen bested Madison Doerre and Simone Hall, 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
 
The Mavericks moved on to win five of the six singles matches. Nicole Kitsuse, Georgia Hansen, and Kylie Simons all won their matches in straight sets.
 
Emily Beckley moved up to play No. 1 singles today and defeated Burak, 6-4, 6-3.
 
Taylor Hershey needed three sets to win her bout at No. 3 singles but she prevailed 6-1, 5-7, 10-4.
 
Colorado Mesa will play Colorado Christian tomorrow at 2pm in Lakewood.
