Men's Tennis Snaps Losing Skid, Best Tigers

Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa men's tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak on Thursday (Apr. 5) afternoon after defeating the Colorado College Tigers 6-3 at Venezia Park.
 
The Mavericks fell behind after the doubles matches 2-1 with their only win coming at No. 3 doubles. Mitchell Steadman and Max Lindqvist defeated Christian Kitchen and Michael Bennett 8-1 to give the Mavericks their lone doubles point.
 
Colorado Mesa cleaned up in the singles matches, winning five of the six matches.
 
Alain De La Bastide, Will Agritelley, and Daniel Ness won in straight sets at No. 4, 5, 6 singles. Nick Farmen came from behind for the win at No. 2 singles 1-6, 7-6, 6-3, while Lucas Martin needed three sets as well, winning 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 at No. 3 singles.
 
Colorado Mesa will play Colorado Christian tomorrow at 2pm in Lakewood.
