It's senior night for women's lacrosse as they close out the regular season against Adams State University (ASU) on Friday. Colorado Mesa University is looking to close out the season strong prior to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) tournament that begins on May 3.

Senior
Jessica Cook will be playing her final game in front of the home crowd on Friday. Cook has had a major impact of the CMU squad over her time. In her junior season she led the team with 46 goals and 61 points while recording 11 hat trick performances. Â This season she leads the team with 35 goals and is second on the team with 46 points.
She will be joined by fellow seniors
Jenny Lange,
Hannah Payton and
Miley Ernst for the senior day festivities.

This is the second meeting between the Mavericks and the Grizzlies this season. In the team's first outing, the Mavericks went on the road to Alamosa, Colo. and handed ASU a 19-2 loss in front of their home crowd. CMU scored 11 in the first half of the contest to help them cruise to their second victory of the season.

CMU comes into the final regular season game with a 10-3 overall record and a 6-2 RMAC record. That sits them comfortably in third place in the conference behind Lindenwood University and Regis University.

As for ASU, they come into their final series of games this weekend with a 3-8 record on the year and a 1-6 conference record. Their lone RMAC win came against Oklahoma Baptist University when they won 12-5 at home.

Cera Cyester is their leader in points with 21 on the year thanks to 16 goals and five assists.
