Following Colorado Mesa University's 15-8 victory over CSU-Pueblo on Sunday, the Mavericks host two more Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) games this week. The first will be against UCCS on Thursday followed by a matchup with No. 12 Regis University (RU) on Saturday.

CMU comes into the week in third place in the conference standings, right behind No. 3 Lindenwood University (LU) and RU. LU and RU have both started off the season undefeated in conference play, while the Mavericks are half a game behind second place RU. CMU's lone conference loss came to LU, putting them at 3-1 on the year.

However, with the matchup on Saturday that could switch the standings in the Mavericks' favor with a clean sweep of this week's two games.

The Mavericks are currently third in the RMAC in goals per game at 15.71. They are only behind RU (18.00) and LU (17.73). On top of that, CMU is currently second in the conference in total shots per game at 34.00. They are only behind LU, who is averaging 39.27 for the season.

Lindsi Peters has been the force of the Mavericks' offense all season long. She has tallied 18 goals to go with 14 assists for a team high 32 points. That is good enough for sixth in the conference at 4.57 points per contest.

Olivia Hayden is CMU's other offensive weapon, scoring a team high 21 goals through seven games. That is tied for fifth in the conference.

Meanwhile, UCCS comes into the week with a 7-5 overall record. The team is riding a three-game win streak with wins against Adams State and Oklahoma Baptist as of late. The Mountain Lions are 3-1 in games away from Mountain Lion Stadium, boding well for them coming into Grand Junction.

Last season, the Mavericks dominated the lone game against UCCS. CMU won the game 22-2 down in Colorado Springs.
Lydia Furrow led the team with five goals on the day, followed by Hayden who had a hat trick.

The Mountain Lions are led by Vanessa Nelson, who has 33 goals on the year through their 12 games. Brianna Martinez is the other high point getter, leading the team with 42 points on the season.

RU is the other team on tap for this week. They come in on a four-game win streak and are ranked 12
th in the nation. One of their last wins came against No. 22 Grand Valley State University. As a team they have yet to score under 10 goals in a single game this season.

Sarah Myres is their leader, coming in with a team high 48 points and a team high 31 goals scored.

The game on Thursday has a 4 p.m. start time, with the game on Saturday set to begin at 1 p.m.
