SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Colorado Mesa women's tennis team took on its second ranked opponent in as many days during their week-long spring break trip. This afternoon's match was against No. 22 Point Loma Nazarene where Colorado Mesa fell 8-1.
 
The Maverick's lone win of the dual came at No. 3 doubles where Nicole Kitsuse and Georgia Hansen teamed up and took down Ellie Gamble and Nicole Camaratta, 8-6.
 
Emily Beckley and Rebecca Osterberg dropped a close match at No. 2 doubles, falling 8-5 to Carolina Cuevas and Gabi Armas.
 
Kristen Kirby fell to Cuevas at No.1 singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
 
The Mavericks are now 8-11 on the season while Point Loma improved to 9-3 on the season and are currently ranked No. 7 in the West Region.
 
Colorado Mesa will take on San Diego Christian tomorrow afternoon at 1p.
