RMAC Tournament Opens Tonight

RMAC TOURNAMENT: Seventh-seeded Colorado Mesa opens the RMAC Tournament on the road against second-seeded MSU Denver. Last season, the Mavericks hosted a first round matchup and defeated Colorado School of Mines before bowing out in the semifinals to eventual champion UCCS.
 
RAINING THREE'S: In Saturday's win over New Mexico Highlands, Jaylyn Duran connected on her 94th three-point basket of the season. She is now the single-season record holder for made three-pointers in a seaspn, eclipsing Sharaya Selsor's mark in 2014.
 
ALL-RMAC: The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference awards were released this week. Erin Reichle was named to the first team for the second time in her career while Jaylyn Duran earned a second team nod. Ma'ata Epenisa earned honorable mention All-RMAC for the second straight year.

KEY TO THE GAME: One word, Rebounding. The Mavericks are 13-1 this season when they outrebound their opponents. They were outrebounded in both matchups this season with the Roadrunners.

SEASON SERIES: The two teams split the season series at one game a side. Each team won on the opponents home floor with MSU Denver coming away with a 69-65 win in Brownson Arena on December 30 while Colorado Mesa won 70-62 at the Auraria Event Center on January 19.
