GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa men's tennis team opened the spring season on Sunday against a conference opponent in MSU Denver. The Mavericks fell 9-0 to the Roadrunners at Elliott Tennis Center.
The Roadrunners swept the doubles matches with the closest matchup coming at No. 2 where
Lucas Martin and
Alain De La Bastide dropped an 8-4 decision.
MSU Denver won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. De La Bastide took the second set in his matchup with Roadrunner Keenan Kaltenbacher at No. 5 singles.
Colorado Mesa will head to the Valley of the Sun next weekend for five matches in three days beginning on Friday at 11am against regional opponent St. Edward's.
