STANDINGS WATCH: Colorado Mesa currently resides in seventh place in the RMAC and have a full three game lead plus the head-to-head tiebreaker with UCCS. A win or a UCCS loss clinches a spot in the RMAC Tournament for the Mavericks. They are just two games out of second place and a game out of third place in the standings. 

REBOUNDING: Colorado Mesa is undefeated this season when they outrebound their opponents at 12-0. They are averaging more rebounds this season than Black Hills State by less than a rebound per game. The Yellow Jackets outrebounded the Mavericks 44-30 in their previous matchup including 19-10 on the offensive end.

DEFENSE: The Mavericks are 15-3 when they hold their opponents under 40 percent shooting from the field. One of the three losses came at the hands of the Yellow Jackets who shot 37.2 percent in their previous matchup. Black Hills has shot 42.5 percent for the season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mavericks dropped a 56-53 decision to Black Hills State at home in Brownson Arena on January 26. Colorado Mesa led for over 30 minutes in the game and even led by eight with 5:43 to play before falling.
