Box Score LAS VEGAS, Nev.— Four different Colorado Mesa University players recorded hat-tricks as the nation's 14
th-ranked Maverick men's lacrosse team walloped former league-rival Notre Dame de Namur University, 22-2 in their neutral-site season-opener on Saturday afternoon here at Palo Verde High School.
Calen Ketcham led the way with five goals while
Jack Griffin and
Reece Callies added four a piece.Â
Brandon Wilson netted three.
Callies also added two assists.
The Mavericks led 11-0 at the half as starting goalie
Remi Reeves made seven saves in the opening half.
CMU, which led NCAA Division II in scoring averaging 15.78 goals per game in 2017, had six 20-plus goal efforts a year ago and put 26 up in last year's 26-4 season-opening win over the Argos.
