COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Alex Martinez,

The 13-man First Team Academic All-RMAC squad was selected by a vote of the conference's athletics communications directors, who were not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes. Honor roll recognition requires a 3.30 or higher GPA as well as meeting the other criteria.
The Mavs' list of honorees can be found below. The list of 29 selections was six more than any other RMAC squad.
Schreiber, who completed his Maverick career with a perfect 4.00 GPA, was voted on to the first team for the third straight year. The Thornton, Colorado native and business management major was also named as the RMAC's Summit Award Winner for the second time and played in all 15 of the Mavs' games this seasons, recording 17 ground balls and seven caused turnovers from his short stick defensive midfielder position.
Martinez, a redshirt freshman and accounting major from Elizabeth, Colorado, holds a 3.82 GPA and was the Mav's top face-off man in 2026, winning 77 of 149 of his draws, good for a .517 winning percentage. He also scooped up a team-high 36 ground balls.
Shields, a junior goalkeeper out of Naples, Florida, was selected after posting a 4-1 record, 8.77 goals against average and .561 save percentage in six games and five starts despite missing chunks of the 2026 season due to injury. The computer information systems major holds a 3.96 GPA and had earned United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2025 after setting a CMU record with 178 saves that season.
Willett, a junior from Broomfield, Colorado, was selected to the first team for the first time and the honor roll for the second. The defensive midfielder holds a 4.00 GPA and is majoring in finance.
