Colorado Mesa University's women's soccer team currently sits at a .500 record for the season entering Friday's matchup. Their record is not the only thing that is split evenly, however. The team has scored a total of 8 goals this season. They have also given up 8 goals up to this point in the year.
Two headed dragon:
Look for Jessica Kresl and Paige Massey to try and make an impact in this game for the Mountaineers. The two of them combine for 32 shots, four goals and three assists.

Last season the Mavericks came away with the 1-0 victory against the Mountaineers on their home field.
Halie Bergeron scored a penalty kick goal in the 70
th minute to give CMU the lone score they needed. CMU dominated on the offensive end, outshooting WSU 12-3.

Going into Friday's matchup, the Mavericks have the slight edge when it comes to the team's overall record against WSU. CMU has won three, lost two and tied two against the Mountaineers.
Players to watch:
Midfielders
Ryanne Parker and Jessica Kresl are the players to watch in this one. Parker is coming off a game where she scored two goals for the Mavericks against Westminster on Sunday. The goals have moved her into a tie for the team lead in points. Meanwhile, Kresl is the leader on her team in points with six.

Lauren Thompson and
Amanda Wenzel. The three of them each have 2 goals apiece to lead the team through six games.
Squashed Yellow Jackets:
UCCS is coming into the week on a high note after defeating Black Hills state 7-0 on Sunday. The Mountain Lions scored five goals in the second half alone, with Chanisse Hendrix and Kelsey Lanham each scoring two goals.
Last year's results:
The last time these two teams met was at Walker Field, where the Mavericks pulled out a close one 1-0. Wenzel scored the game winning goal in the 33
rdminute for her second of the season. The Mavericks outshot the Mountain Lions 21-5 on the day, including going 8-2 in shots on goal.
Overall record:
The Mavericks hold a 6-2-2 overall record when facing off against UCCS. This record includes going 4-1-2 against the Mountain Lions on the road.
Players to watch:
Forwards Wenzel and Kelsey Lanham are the players to watch in this one. Wenzel is tied for the CMU team lead in goals with two, and is looking to add on to that total. Lanham is currently the Mountain Lions leader in goals with three and points with seven.
