MLAX Looking for Second Straight Title

Colorado Mesa will host the RMAC Tournament this weekend at Walker Field. The Mavericks will open the tournament against Adams State at 7pm while Rockhurst plays Westminster in the other semifinal at 4pm.

REPEAT
Colorado Mesa repeated as Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season champions with the doubleheader sweep last weekend against CSU-Pueblo and Adams State. The Mavericks won the inaugural championship last season, winning a tiebreaker with Westminster.

REGIONAL RANKINGS
The Mavericks remain at No. 6 in this week's NCAA Regional Rankings. Limestone remained at No. 1 followed by Lenoir-Rhyne and Tampa. Wingate, who wasn't in the rankings last week, slid into the No. 4 spot followed by Belmont Abbey and then the Mavericks. The top four teams in the final rankings advance to the NCAA Tournament.

RECORD WINS
Colorado Mesa has won 14 games thus far which sets a school record. The previous high came last season when the Mavericks won 13 games and suffered just four setbacks.

ALL-RMAC
Colorado Mesa had 12 players named to the All-RMAC Team. Steve Brandenburg (Offensive Player of the Year), Brady George (Defensive Player of the Year), Jack Griffin (Midfielder of the Year), Remi Reeves (Co-Goalkeeper of the Year), Ryder Clark, Michael Marino, and Connor Larrick all earned First Team. Reece Callies and Brandon Wilson were second team honorees while Claen Ketcham, Jordan Eason and Cole Smith were honorable mention.

LAST 27
The Mavericks are 25-2 over their last 27 games played with only 10 of those games coming at home, winning all of them. They are 4-0 in neutral site games and 11-2 in games on the road.

LOOKING AHEAD
Colorado Mesa will await the NCAA Tournament Selection committee's decision on whether or not they will make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The top four teams in the South Region will qualify for the tournament.
