DENVER – The Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team moved into a tie for first place in the RMAC with a 5-4 win at MSU Denver Saturday (April 8).
The No. 2 doubles team of
Oliver Lindqvist and
William Agritelley saved six matches to win 9-7.
Lucas Martin and
Alain De La Bastide won 8-6 at No. 3 doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles.
Nicholas Farmen won 6-4, 7-6 (5) at No. 3, and
Lucas Martin won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4.
Oliver Lindqvist clinched the win for CMU with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5.
Colorado Mesa improves to 12-11 overall and 5-1.
The CMU women fell to MSU Denver 7-2.
Katie and
Kristen Kirby improved to 5-0 in doubles in RMAC play with a narrow 9-8 (3) win at No. 1 over Courtney Wright and Emily Kerr.
The Mavericks other win came at No. 2 doubles.
Nicole Kitsuse and
Georgia Hansen defeated Valerie Valencia and Ana-Jelena Vujosevic 8-3.
Colorado Mesa falls to 9-11 overall and 3-2 in league play.
Colorado Mesa will host CSUP April 15.
