GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University men's and women's tennis teams each defeated Colorado Christian University Saturday (March 4).

The men won 9-0 and the women won 8-1.

The men won all three doubles matches by identical scores of 8-2.

Nick Farmen earned his first win at No. 1 defeating Ryder Searle 6-1, 6-0.

Lucas Martin won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, and Oliver Lindqvist won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3.

Kristen and Katie Kirby won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles over Jenni Perkins and Carrie Alberson.

Kristin would also win at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-3, and Katie won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4.

Emily Beckley defeated Jenni Perkins 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.

Both the men and women will play at Newman on March 10.
