Box Score TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 19 Colorado Mesa men's lacrosse team dropped the final game of their Florida road trip on Wednesday night in a 15-7 loss to No. 14 Tampa at Naimoli Field in a NCAA South Region matchup.
The first and the fourth quarter doomed the Mavericks as Tampa outscored them 5-1 in the first and 6-2 in the fourth while the two teams played even in the second and third quarters.
The two teams were equal in total shots attempted at 42 but the Mavericks committed four more turnovers than the Spartans.
Brandon Wilson paced the Mavericks with two goals and an assist on five shots.
Calen Ketcham added a goal and an assist in the match.
Remi Reeves took the loss in goal making 11 saves and allowing 12 goals.
Andrew Lew tied a season-high by netting six goals for Tampa.
The Mavericks record drops to 8-2 on the season while Tampa improves their record to 8-3 on the year.
Colorado Mesa will return to Colorado and play at Adams State on March 31 and will close out the year with six straight RMAC matches.
