ST. GEORGE, UTAH – The Colorado Mesa University men's and women's tennis teams each dropped matches Saturday (Feb. 25) in St. George, Utah.

The women lost to Dixie State 5-4, and the men fell to Div. I Southern Utah 5-2.

Kristen and Katie Kirby earned the lone doubles win for CMU defeating Lacey Hancock and Laura Hartle 8-1 at No. 1.

Katie also posted a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 win over Laura Hartle at No. 4.

Emily Beckley posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Hina Goldsmith at No. 2, and Georgia Hansen defeated Kaylee Milligan 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6.

The men's two wins against Southern Utah came in singles.

Max Lindqvist defeated Conor Tordoff 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 at No. 1.

Nicholas Farmen earned a 7-5, 6-2 win over Micah Alba at No. 2.

Alain De La Bastide lost in three sets (6-2, 2-6, 6-3) at No. 4, and Oliver Lindqvist fell in three (7-6 (8), 0-6, 6-3) at No. 5.

Colorado Mesa will host MSU Denver March 3.
