Colorado Mesa women's basketball (2-0) will head to St. George, Utah to participate in the Dixie State Classic on Friday and Saturday. They will take on Dixie State (1-1) on Friday before a date with NAIA member Montana State Northern (5-1) to close out the weekend.

1,000 POINT CLUB: Senior
Erin Reichle eclipsed the 1,000 point plateau for her career in the win over Cameron. She becomes the 18th member of the 1,000 point club and is 21 points shy of leap frogging Katrina Selsor for 17th on the all-time scoring list.

TOURNAMENT MVP: Junior
Jaylyn Duran averaged 19 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists during the Ashbrook Classic, earning her Tournament MVP honors. She had a career-high three steals in the win over tournament host Midwestern State.

2-0 START: For the third time in head coach
Taylor Wagner's tenure, the Mavericks have started the season 2-0. The two previous times the Mavericks started 2-0, they reached the NCAA Tournament. The first being the trip to the NCAA Elite 8, the other the trip to the Sweet 16 during the 2013-14 season.Â

THEIVES: Colorado Mesa recorded 19 steals in the opening weekend of action. Part of those 19 steals led to 29 Maverick points off of those turnovers.
