Colorado Mesa hits the road to play against New Mexico Highlands and Colorado Christian in Lakewood, Colo. this weekend (April 9-10).

Record Watch
Senior shortstop Makayla Kovac tied the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference career record for home runs when she hit two against Adams State. She is tied with Kaitlynn Barnes (2009-12) of Western New Mexico and Jennesa Tesone (2008-11) of MSU Denver with 56 home runs. Kovac leads the conference in home runs with 12 this season. She has went five straight games without a home run after hitting two home runs against Adams State.

Batting Average
Colorado Mesa ranks fifth in Div. II and leads the RMAC in batting average at .355. Alexandria Dufour leads the Mavericks and ranks second in the league with a .459 batting average.

Long Ball
CMU ranks fifth in the nation and leads the conference in slugging percentage at .571. Mesa ranks seventh nationally and first in the RMAC in home runs per game with 1.21. CMU has two players in the top-three in the RMAC in slugging percentage.
