PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team advanced to the championship of the RMAC Tournament after defeating MSU Denver 5-3 on Friday April 22.
 
The Mavericks started off the match by going 1-2 at singles.
 
Cody Freischlag and Trevor Brown got the lone doubles victory for the Mavericks. The No. 2 doubles team defeated Marty Lukosiunas and Parker Jones 8-5.
 
Freischlag and Brown also won at singles. Freischlag posted a 7-5, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles while Brown won 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
 
Andres Garcia defeated Brandon Nachbar 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 and Lucas Martin came away with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win at No. 4 for the Mavericks.
 
Colorado Mesa (17-10) will face the No. 1 seed Western New Mexico (14-9) for the RMAC Tournament title on Saturday (April 23) at 9am.
