No. 23 Colorado Mesa plays a four-games series at home against Western New Mexico April 16-17.

National Ranking
Colorado Mesa is ranked No. 23 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 Poll. They are currently riding a 25-game winning streak and have a 30-7 overall record.

Sweeping Awards
CMU swept the weekly RMAC softball awards with Makayla Kovac being named Player of the Week and McKenzie Surface being named Pitcher of the Week. Kovac batted .733 and had eight RBIs. Surface went 3-0, striking out 13 players and only allowing 12 hits.

Breaking the Record
Senior shortstop Makayla Kovac broke the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference career record for home runs when she hit a home run against Colorado Christian. She hit another home run against New Mexico Higlands to pur her home run total at 58. Kovac leads the conference in home runs with 14 this season, and is tied for 10th in Div. II.

Batting Average
Colorado Mesa ranks third in Div. II and leads the RMAC in batting average at .364. Makayla Kovac leads the Mavericks and the league with a .529 batting average.

Long Ball
CMU ranks third in the nation and leads the conference in slugging percentage at .588. Mesa ranks seventh nationally and first in the RMAC in home runs per game with 1.24. CMU has three players in the top-five in the RMAC in slugging percentage.

Runs Batted In
Colorado Mesa has 264 RBIs this season, the most by any school in the RMAC. The top-two players in the RMAC in runs batted in this season are Mavericks. Makayla Kovac is first with 48 RBIs and Zoe Pakes is second with 44 RBIs.

Series Sweep
The last time CMU was swept in a conference series was March of last year when Regis swept them in a two-game series.
