HC Box ScoreNWM Box ScoreGRAND ISLAND, Neb. – The Colorado Mesa University women's tennis team wrapped up their trip to Nebraska with a 9-0 win against Hastings College and a 6-3 loss to Northwest Missouri State (March 4).
CMU swept doubles in their match against Hastings.
Frederikke Karst and
Emily Dodson won 8-2 at No. 1 and
Emily Beckley and
Amy Beeston got an 8-4 victory at No. 2.
The winning streak continued in singles for CMU.
Emily Dodson defeated Madison Fortunato at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-2.
Katie Kirby won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 against Elizabeth Harlow.
Emily Beckley,
Michelle Phillips,
Amy Beeston and Taylor Hersey all won at No. 3-5.
In the second match two of Colorado Mesa's three wins against Northwest Missouri State were in doubles.
Frederikke Karst and
Emily Dodson came out victorious against Lorena Rivas Jarolim and Kaja Emersic 8-5 at No. 1.
Katie Kirby and
Katie Metz achieved the other win against Andrea Gallardo and Vilune Sestokaite 8-3 at No. 3.
Michelle Phillips had the only win in singles with a score of 6-0, 7-6 (3).
Colorado Mesa will begin their spring break matches on March 13 when they travel to Wichita Falls, Texas to take on Midwestern State.
