WACO, Texas – The Colorado Mesa University women's team lost 8-1 to No. 40 nationally ranked St. Edward's on Monday (March 14).

The No. 1 doubles team of Frederikke Karst and Emily Dodson fell to Anjali Sampath and Marissa Williams 8-4. The No. 2 and No. 3 teams both lost 8-2.

Emily Beckley earned the lone win for the Mavericks at No. 4 singles defeating Marissa Williams 7-6 (8-6), 6-2. 

Michelle Philips and Amy Beeston both fell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 and 6 respectively.

Colorado Mesa will finish their trip to Texas tomorrow (March 15) when they take on Newman University.
