INDIANAPOLIS – Mary Saiz of Colorado Mesa finished second in the 200 backstroke in a school-record time of 1:57.16 at the NCAA Div. II Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday (March 12). Her finish is the highest ever by a male or female student-athlete at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
 
Sage D'Ambrosia finished 11^th (487.30 points) on the three-meter, and Ryan Popp was 14^th (461.75).
 
Sam Bryant finished 12^th in the 1,650 free in a time of 15:38.80.
 
Justin Hastings placed 17^th (1:48.37) in the 200 back, and Ryan Gifford was 22^nd in the 200 breast (2:04.93).
 
The men's 400 free relay team of Justin Hastings, Sam Bryant, Sky Hirsch and Josh Bedford placed 17^th in a time of 3:02.98.
 
Eryn Leonard placed 49^th in the 100 free (52.62).
 
The men finished 20^th with 79 points and the women placed 23^rd with 44 points.
