Start the Season off Right
Colorado Mesa looks to start the season off with a win against Regis on Saturday (Feb. 20). The Mavs come off of a 9-6 record last year going 3-3 in conference play. The Mavs lost their last game of the season to Lindenwood 19-7. Notable stats from the last season, the Mavs averaged 13.5 goals for with a shooting percentage of 49.3%. The Mavs outscored opponents by 40 goals last season as well. 
RMAC Woes
Conference play was not nice to the Mavs as they split their conference record 3-3. Home conference games faired very kindly to the Mavs winning three of the four home conference game that the Mavs had. However, the road was not kind to the Mavs as they dropped both of their conference road games. 
Notable players
Ashley Eickhoff leads the Mavs in goals and point with 38 and 46 respectively.  Mavs had five players with 20+ goals last season, as well as four players with 40+ points.
Between the Pipes
Jillian Pfeifer held a record of 7 wins and 3 losses in 14 games played. Her goals against average (GAA) was a respectable 11.46. 
Kady Herzog held a two wins three losses record in her 12 games played and had a nice GAA on the season of 10.18. 
Preseason All-RMAC Honors for Cook
Jessica Cook was named to the All-RMAC preseason team. Cook finished last season with 30 goals and 41 points.
Ranked forth for RMAC
Colorado Mesa is ranked forth for the RMAC preseason poll. They follow behind Lindenwood, Regis and Fort Lewis. Respectively first, second and third.
