ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Colorado Mesa men's tennis team defeated Div. I Southern Utah in a pair of matches by identical scores of 7-0 Friday (Feb. 19).
 
In the first match, CMU swept SUU in doubles.
 
Andres Garcia-Rojas and Spencer Weinberg defeated Joshua Coen and Ben Yeacker 6-3 at No. 1, and Trevor Brown and Cody Freischlag defeated Ryan Andrus and Braden Olcott 6-0 at No. 2. Max Lindqvist and Ben Schlichting beat Peyton Garnett and Jacob Nelson 7-5 at No. 3.
 
Spencer Weinburg won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 against Jacob Nelson. Andres Garcia-Rojas won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2 against Joshua Coen.
 
Cody Freischlag, Lucas Martin, Max Lindqvist and Trevor Brown won at No. 3-6 to complete the sweep against the Thunderbirds.
 
In the second match, Trevor Brown and Cody Freischlag won 6-1 at No. 1 doubles while Spencer Weinburg and Andres Garcia-Rojas won 6-2 at No. 2.
 
Spencer Weinburg, defeated Branden Olcott 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 and Andres Garcia-Rojas defeated Jacob Nelson 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.
 
Cody Freischlag, Lucas Martin, Max Lindqvist and Trevor Brown won at No. 3-6.
 
CMU heads to Arizona to take on Glendale Community College, Arizona Christian University and Mesa Community College Feb. 26-27.
