GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado Mesa won seven of the ten bouts in a 30-10 win over Chadron State on Friday evening in Brownson Arena in the final dual of the season. The Mavericks earned four wins by way of bonus points including a pair of pins.
Jason Buhr earned the Mavericks first pin of the evening at 157 pounds when he pinned Johnny Porter at the 6:37 mark of the third period. Buhr was leading 15-2 when he pinned his opponent and improved to 28-7 on the season.

Marcus Haughian picked up a first period pin at 197 pounds in his final dual as a Maverick. Haughian took down Eagle Stuart Hircock and rode him for about 30 second before turning him for the pin.

Drew Schumann earned a first period technical fall of Clayton Steinmetz, 16-0. Schumann earned a takedown and three four point nearfalls before turning Steinmetz one final time for a two-point nearfall to secure the win.

Jonathon Stelling earned a decision in their final home matches of their career.
The NCAA Super Region Four Tournament is next up for the Mavericks the final weekend in February. The top four finishers at the tournament will advance to the NCAA National Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D.
