Women's Hoops Travels to Denver before New Year

COACHING
Head coach Taylor Wagner enters his fifth season with Colorado Mesa. He has amassed a 109-22 record and has won three RMAC Championships during his tenure. In his time, the Mavericks are 60-4 when playing at home in Brownson Arena.

VS. MSU DENVER
Colorado Mesa has won four of the past five matchups with the Roadrunners after enduring a five game losing streak against them that stretched from 2011-2012. 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior Bryanna Adams was named the RMAC Player of the Week after her performance against CSU-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands. Adams matched a career-high with 31 points on 10-of-19 shooting against New Mexico Highlands. 

HALFTIME LEAD
The Mavericks blew their first halftime lead of the season in the loss to ninth-ranked CSU-Pueblo. They led 39-32 but surrendered 41 second half points to the ThunderWolves in the 84-72 loss.

KEYS
Colorado Mesa is 7-0 when they outshoot their opponents and is just 1-2 when they shoot a lower percentage. They also are 6-0 when they commit fewer turnovers then the opposition.

HIGH PERCENTAGE
The Mavericks are shooting 42.4 percent from the field and are 5-0 on the season when they shoot over 45 percent in a game. Last season, Colorado Mesa had only three games where they shot better than 45 percent. 

UP NEXT
The Mavericks will be at home to open the new year when they play host to Chadron State on January 6 followed by a date with Regis on January 7.
