Women's Hoops to Open Regular Season

COACHING
Head coach Taylor Wagner enters his fifth season with Colorado Mesa. He has amassed a 101-20 record and has won three RMAC Championships during his tenure. In his time, the Mavericks are 56-4 when playing at home in Brownson Arena.

EXHIBITIONS
Colorado Mesa dropped a pair of exhibition games against Division I competition prior to the season beginning. They fell 75-70 to  Southern Utah and 81-62 to BYU.

SAME STARTERS
Colorado Mesa used the same starting lineup all 27 games a year ago. The Mavericks bring back two of those starters in All-RMAC selections Bryanna Adams and Sydney Small along with last season's RMAC Preseason Player of the Year Erin Reichle who started 29 games in the 2014-15 season.

REICHLE RETURNS
The Mavericks will return the 2015-16 RMAC Preseason Player of the Year in Erin Reichle. Reichle missed last season due to a season-ending injury suffered just before the start of the season. Rechle averaged 17.4 points per game during the 2014-15 season.

BIGS
This year's Maverick women's basketball team features four players 5-11 or taller that play one of the two low post positions, something the Mavericks havent had in year's past. Freshman Maja Beier is the tallest at 6-5.
