Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado Mines scored two first half goals and coasted to a 2-0 win over Colorado Mesa on Friday afternoon at Walker Field in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
 
Sarah Pope finished the match with three shots, two coming on goal. Pope had a pair of opportunities early in the second half that were saved by the Oredigger goalkeeper.
 
Mines' first goal came in the sixth minute of the match and their second came in the 29^th minute on a shot from 25 yards out.
 
The Mavericks will conclude their homestand with a match against the Colorado Christian Cougars on Sunday at Walker Field beginning at 12:00pm.
