Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Angelo State scored a pair of goals late in the first half and held on for a 2-0 win over the Colorado Mesa Mavericks on Saturday morning at Walker Field in a NCAA South Central region matchup.
The Rambelles first goal came in the 38
th minute with the second coming a little less than four minutes later.
The Mavericks took seven shots in the game with all seven coming on net.
Sarah Pope led the Mavericks with three shots.

Janelle Richmond-Buccola made seven saves in goal and faced a total of 13 Rambelle shots.
The Mavericks will open the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schedule at Walker Field next weekend. They will host Colorado Mines on Friday before taking on Colorado Christian on Sunday.
