Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa University men's lacrosse team scored a team-high 22 goals in a 22-6 win over CSU-Pueblo Friday (April 3).
The Mavericks finished with more goals (22) than the Thunderwolves had shots (21). CMU finished with 52 shots in the game and won 23 of 33 faceoffs.
David Solomon and
Austin Pridham each finished with three goals and one assist to lead the Mavs.
CMU had 16 different players record a point in the contest.
The Mavericks opened the game with seven straight goals in the first period. The Thunderwolves opened the second quarter with a goal but trailed 11-2 at halftime.
CMU outscored CSUP 11-4 in the second half.
Zach Weaver earned the win for the Mavs allowing four goals and making eight saves.
Adam Borgogelli started the fourth period and made five saves and allowed two goals.
CMU (5-2, 4-0) will play at Lindenwood April 11
