Spencer Weinberg accounted for both points for the Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team in a 7-2 loss to Sonoma State Saturday (March 21).
He defeated Noah Lee 6-4, 7-6 (5) at No. 2 singles. Weinberg and
Jordan Lyden also earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles over Phil Holbrook and Noah Lee.
Duncan Alger and
Trevor Brown fell 8-6 at No. 3 doubles to Sullivan Roche and Matt Weeber.
Jordan Lyden dropped a three set decision at No. 1 singles to Phil Holbrook 7-5, 3-6, 10-8.
The women's team dropped a 9-0 decision to nationally ranked St. Mary's.
Amy Beeston posted the closest match at No. 6 singles falling to Joanie Bryant 7-6 (5), 6-4 (8).
The Colorado Mesa University tennis teams will travel to Florida and play a series of matches starting Monday (March 23).Â
