Complete Game Notes vs. WestminsterFOUR IN A ROW?Colorado Mesa has won the past three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season championships and are the coaches pick to win their fourth-straight. They have also qualified for the NCAA Tournament each of the last three seasons.
THE SCHEDULEThe Mavericks will have a daunting schedule that features games against five of the other seven schools that made the South Central Regional. Cameron and Midwestern State are the only schools the Mavericks will not play this season.
COACHINGHead coach
Taylor Wagner enters his fourth season with Colorado Mesa. He has amassed an 87-11 record and has won more outright RMAC Championships in three seasons then all other years combined. During his tenure the Mavericks are 49-1 when playing at home in Brownson Arena.
DIMESSenior
Laurin Rivera set a career-high with nine assists in the win over Oklahoma Panhandle. She currently ranks first in the RMAC and 26th nationally in assists per game.
SCORINGBryanna Adams (17.0) and
Sydney Small (16.5) rank third and fourth respectively in points per game in the RMAC. They trail UCCS' Brittany Hernandez (20.6) and Michelle Traynham (20.3) who are among the top 20 in NCAA Div. II.
STARTERSThrough the first four games of the season, the Mavericks have started the same five every game. Those five are averaging 70 percent of the total minutes in the game.
