Complete Game Notes vs. Thanksgiving Classic

FOUR IN A ROW?
Colorado Mesa has won the past three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season championships and are the coaches pick to win their fourth-straight. They have also qualified for the NCAA Tournament each of the last three seasons.

COACHING
Head coach Taylor Wagner enters his fourth season with Colorado Mesa. He has amassed an 84-10 record and has won more outright RMAC Championships in three seasons then all other years combined.

DEFENSE AND REBOUNDING
The Mavericks over the past three years have been great on defense and rebounding. But, in the first two games, they have failed to outrebound their opponents, tying one of those two games. They did hold both opponents to under 40 percent from the field.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Colorado Mesa opened the season by sweeping the first RMAC Players of the Week. Sydney Small was named the offensive player of the week after pouring in 29 points against Arkansas-Fort Smith while Erika Musante was named the defensive player of the week after averaging seven rebounds and three blocks a game.

THE LAST TIME
Oklahoma Panhandle is no stranger to the Holiday Inn - Airport Thanksgiving Classic. They played in the tournament in November 26, 2011 with the Mavericks winning the contest 107-96. That is also the last time the Mavericks scored 100 points in a game and allowed more than 90 points.
