GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University men's tennis team defeated CSU-Pueblo 6-3 and Colorado College 9-0 Saturday (Oct. 3).

After sweeping the doubles against CSUP, CMU collected wins at No. 2, 4 and 6 singles.

Cody Freischlag defeated Siegfried Menzel 6-7 (8), 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2.

Max Lindqvist won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4, and Cody Carlton won 6-4, 5-7, 10-7 at No. 6.

CMU also swept the doubles against CC.

Andres Garcia-Rojas and Cody Freischlag won at No. 1 8-3, and Trevor Brown and Ben Schlichting won 8-6 at No. 2. Lucas Martin and Max Lindqvist won 8-2 at No. 3.

Garcia-Rojas won at No. 1 singles 6-1, 2-6, 10-6, and Cody Freischlag won at No. 2 6-7 (1), 6-0, 10-4.

Lucas Martin, Max Lindqvist, Trevor Brown and Cody Carlton won at No. 3-6 to complete the sweep.

CMU (4-2) will play at Southern Utah Feb. 19.
